I wrote this song a few summers ago when I was back in Ireland visiting. We had just moved out of the childhood house and were staying with my Auntie and Uncle for the week.

I didn’t have any of my recording gear with me but I found an old acoustic guitar from the attic and a beaten up mic from when I was younger. I wrote the track with the idea of it being an interlude in mind. I think originally it was going to be on the first EP in 2018 but for some reason never made it passed the demo stage. I decided not to re record it and keep it the
way it was when I first did it on the old busted up 5 string acoustic.

I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo.
